WHAT FITS IN A 20FT ENCLOSED TRAILER

A 20-foot enclosed trailer is the workhorse size — roughly the cargo room of a one- to two-bedroom home in a single load. Couches, a mattress set, a dining table, dressers, boxes, and a washer and dryer will generally go together with room to strap things down. For a studio or a dorm move it’s overkill in the best way; for a three-bedroom house you’ll likely make two trips or step up to our crew.

Because it’s fully enclosed, what you load stays dry and out of the wind the whole drive — which matters on I-15 and the open stretches around Southwest Utah. That’s the difference between an enclosed trailer and an open utility trailer: no tarps, no road grime, no watching the sky.

HOW RENTAL PERIODS WORK

Rent by the day for a job or a dump-and-return, or by the week when a project is going to take a while. You get the exact rate up front, so there’s no meter running in your head while you load.

Keeping it longer than you planned? Just tell us. We’d rather extend your rate than have you rush an unsafe load to beat a clock.

Full walkthrough: how to rent a trailer in St. George

TOWING A 20FT ENCLOSED TRAILER

Towing this size is well within reach of a half-ton truck or a midsize SUV with a proper hitch and the right ball — but the details matter, so tell us what you’ll be towing with and we’ll confirm the match before you commit. Loaded right, with the heavy items low and forward over the axle and everything strapped down, an enclosed trailer tracks straight and easy.

If you’ve never towed before, that’s fine — we’ll walk you through hooking up, checking your lights, and loading for balance when you pick up. Most people are surprised how quickly it stops feeling intimidating.

ENCLOSED VS. OPEN: WHICH TO RENT

An open utility trailer is fine for a dump run, a few appliances, or anything you don’t mind exposing to the road. The moment you’re moving furniture, boxes, electronics, or anything that can’t take rain, wind, or grit, an enclosed trailer earns its keep — your load arrives the way it left. Enclosed also means lockable and out of sight, which matters if you’re stopping overnight on a longer haul.

We own and rent both a 20ft and a 24ft enclosed cargo trailer — the 24ft adds a 10,000-lb winch for vehicles and heavy equipment. Got a dump load instead? That’s our dump trailer, and we haul that one for you, $350 per load and local.

RENT IT, OR LET US HAUL IT

Renting a cargo trailer and towing it yourself is the cheapest way to move a load — you keep the savings and trade them for your own time. If you’d rather not deal with the hitch and the drive, we’ll haul it for you on the same trailers, and we’ll quote both so you can see the gap before you decide.

Not sure which makes sense? Tell us the job and we’ll point you to the cheaper option for your situation — even when that’s renting it yourself.
